Rain forest jasper cab ~
Offered here is a matching set of Australia's rainforest 'jasper' cabochons. The material is actually highly silicated rhyolite, in lovely shades of avocado greens mottled with rusty orange pastels. There's a nice array of orbs, which are tiny embedded thundereggs, filled with yellow to orange opalite, and blue agate. A couple of the blue agate pools show tiny bullseyes peeking out of them. Each of the three stones has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a graceful teardrop shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
