Offered here is a cabochon of high quality blue chalcedony, from Turkey. The price of rough material with this gorgeous color has skyrocketed in recent years, but I think it's well worth buying if you can find the best. This gemmy beauty features gorgeous translucent blue coloration, quite saturated, though it's a bit more purplish than the photos illustrate. Like a lot of blue agates, this stone tends to be moody, appearing even more intense and deeper in color when viewed in low lighting. It has a high rounded dome of 5mm, an elongated teardrop shape, and a brilliant glassy polish both front and back.
