Laguna lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Laguna lace agate, from Mexico. This richly colored example has some fancy fortifications, frilly lace, sparkling druzy crystals, and several small orbs and bullseyes, putting it way out ahead of the old crazy lace agate, in my book. Brilliant reddish-orange to crimson, with touches of pink, coral and dusty rose. The area around the druzy patch is translucent, and the darkest area appears to have some interesting brecciation. And check out that little white-rimmed diamond void, adding character. This stone will be captivating in either silver or gold, no matter how simple the setting. It has a well rounded dome, and a designer 'spear' shape, brought to a slick glassy polish both front and back.
