Laguna lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon cut from laguna lace agate, from Mexico. This cab is a remarkably dramatic example, featuring bullseyes, tubes and fortification patterns at one side, with smoky agate on the other. There are some sagenitic bursts in the dark area, which is surprisingly translucent. In fact, much of the stone is as well, and the eyes seem to float there. The total effect is quite striking, making this one a keeper if ever there was one. It should be a breeze setting this beauty to best show it off. The stone has a well rounded dome of 4.5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
