Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of larimar, a rare blue variety of gem pectolite from the only known source, in the Caribbean's Dominican Republic. I wish I had purchased a LOT more rough when I had the chance, because the price has certainly climbed steadily over the years. This example has delicious sky blue coloration, extra gemmy, with some darker and more saturated spots, including lovely areas of silky chatoyance. This stone has a high rounded dome of 7.5mm, a sylized heart shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
