Tabu Tabu jasper cab ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of tabu tabu, also sometimes called 'smoke and embers' jasper, or forest fire jasper, from Africa. It has a brecciated pattern a lot like Stone Canyon jasper, only in bright crimson red with some patches of gray and tan, and this one also includes some areas of green, with pale gray and white quartz/agate. I can see how it got its name; the warm hues are indeed much like the hot glowing embers of a fire. Awesome!! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm and a bold designer shape, polished both front and back.
