Butterfly jasper cab ~
Offered here is a large, deluxe cabochon of butterfly jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper (technically a rhyolite) is a much sought after classic, and none too easy to come by these days, in any quality. This cab is a spectacular example of grand old material, including a near-rainbow of colors, as well as a core of bluish white crystal with some interesting crackleur. And can you see the little happy figure with outstretched arms? heh The maroon veins are naturally healed with a filling of agate and are simply part of the stone's unique pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a rounded dome of 5.5mm, a designer 'crescent' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
