Mawsitsit cab ~
Offered here is a vivid cabochon of mawsitsit, from Myanmar (Northern Burma). Collectibly rare and very highly prized, this dazzling jadeite material owes its brilliant emerald coloration to the presence of chromium, and this stone is a fabulous example. It has the most wildly intense greens I've ever seen in any natural rock, with a swirling, almost velvety look. It's a simply outstanding treasure, sure to attract attention in any type of setting you can dream up. The cab has a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back. And it's a steal of a deal at just over $2 a carat!
