Owyhee jasper cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Owyhee jasper, long-treasured classic material from Oregon. This well marked example has an artistic scenic pattern of both earthy and vibrant hues, including rich golden ochre, burnt orange, and edgings of the most prized dark red. To me, the pattern resembles a grouping of desert cacti growing up from a rocky mound, making this one particularly attractive. The scene is contained in a gracefully curved designer shape, with a high rounded dome of 6mm that has a slick glassy polish both front and back.
