Botswana agate cab ~
Offered here is an interesting cabochon of Botswana agate, from Africa. As a youngster, I horded hundreds of outstanding Botswana agate nodules, and every one was unique in some way; sure wish I had them all now! This unique example has an amazing display of tubes and bullseyes, each with tiny reddish brown thorn-like inlcusions, in a background of orange carnelian agate, which fades to a delicate pastel chiffon shade toward the rounded end. This one will certainly 'speak' well in your jewelry creations, whatever your plans for it, in even the simplest of settings. It has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a plump rounded teardrop shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
