Marra mamba cab ~
Offered here is a premium cabochon of genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, a rarity from Australia. This startling material is, in my opinion, the most awesome tigereye in the world, and this gem's a fine example. It features a gorgeous patch of dancing pearly chatoyance in mostly blue, with coppery to salmon red, and a dab of pale golden yellow. About midway, there are two chatoyant bands, one in velvety orange, the other in dark greenish-blue. The remainder is colorful jasper, including several splashes and ribbons of shiny metallic hematite and magnetite. This material can be very problematic to cut, but happily, I can find no cracks, fractures, pits or other blemishes. You will love it! The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, and a crisp spearhead shape that's polished both front and back.
