Forest fire jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon tabu tabu, also sometimes called 'smoke and embers' jasper, or forest fire jasper, from Africa. It features an interesting brecciated pattern in crimson red and charcoal gray, with the strong contrast of dark edgings and translucent yellowish quartz/agate. There are a few hairlines in this stone, yet it remains quite solid and stable, not overly distracting. I can think of about a zillion uses for such a striking stone, and know you'll have no difficulty setting it to great effect. It's always a natural crowd pleaser! The cab has a designer 'flame' shape, a high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
