Velvet Obsidian cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon, cut by Christopher, of velvet obsidian, which hails from Mexico. Also known as seafoam obsidian, it features softly subtle swirls of green with a touch of pink in its charcoal black body; looks to be hints of blue and purple lurking in the mix too. The stronger the light source, the more showy it appears, but with very little light, it tends to appear mostly dark greyish in color. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a graceful designer 'teardrop' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
