Regency rose plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of regency rose plume agate, from the famous digs in eastern Oregon. This example was cut from grand old stock, and it's just bursting with frilly plumes. Fantastic stuff! The newer material is almost drab by comparison. The plumes are mostly golden yellow, with blushes of pink and coral, and a delightful depth that these flat photos don't capture well. The translucent agate background has a slight smoky tinge that contrasts beautifully, making the figure really jump out. Just the thing for your next masterpiece! The cab has a low but nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
