Offered here is a extraordinary cabochon of top quality flowering tube onyx, from Utah. This unique material is simply stunning in its complex and varied patterns. This strikingly exotic example has a wild pattern that includes several ornate and flowery bullseyes and concentric bandings, with contrast to spare. The yellow, orange, gray and black hues of this type of onyx often remind me of Autumn, but this one has so much more going on, including some interesting vugs. It's absolutely outrageous stuff! The stone has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
