Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of old vintage ocean jasper, some of the very first ever found. This stone has a bit of
translucence in the lemon chiffon and orangish background, with contrasting green orbs edged in off-white, nearly all containing bullseyes. This variety kind of reminds me of the good old days when ocean jasper was fairly plentiful; pity the source has run dry so soon. This one ought to look great set in either silver or gold, so let your imagination soar! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a long designer 'spearhead' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
