Imperial cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. My cousin brought home this one nodule that was different from all the others, and when sliced up, we found it to have an unusual blood red center within. The green areas are somewhat translucent, which show a streaked effect against a background of old ivory. The stone has a well rounded dome of 6+mm, a crisp designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
