Stone Canyon agate ~
Offered here is a striking cabochon of classic Stone Canyon jasper, from California. It is fine example of brecciated stone, which means the original ochre-yellow jasper was once broken apart by some powerful earth movement, and then naturally re-cemented with contrasting bluish gray & rose agate. There's even a pool of pastel yellow agate. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a sleek designer teardrop shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
