Raspberry tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a uniquely beautiful cabochon of raspberry tube agate, from Mexico. It was mined years ago at the Crown Of Silver psilomelane claims as an extra added bonus. This example has many flowery raspberry red tubes and eyes against a background of periwinkle blue agate, which is interspersed by snow white agate. Adding to its appealing character is a sparkling drusy pocket at center, complete with tiny terminated crystals and some delicate black spidery dendrites. The stone is somewhat translucent, though I neglected to take a backlit photo. No doubt it will spark the designer's imagination in you! The cab has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a crisp designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
