Imperial cab ~
Offered here is a large and unique cabochon of imperial jasper, from Mexico. This example has a rather different pattern that includes two bands of velvety green moss. The colors in the body of the stone go from cool avocado greens at one end, to a rosy pink blush at the other end. Surprisingly, the two darker green patches at either side are translucent agate. The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 8mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
