Queensland agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top notch Queensland agate, from Australia's famous Agate Creek agate beds. This delightfully striking stone is a richly vibrant orange, accented by bands of yellow. That banded stripe shows an abundance of parallax, causing the illusion that they open and close with movement. I'm told the brilliant color is due to the presence of iron, which sets these Down Under agates apart from many of their plainer cousins. This stone will certainly be thrilling in either a silver or gold setting, or whatever else you might conjure up! It has a a nicely rounded dome of nearly 5mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a fabulously glassy polish both front and back.
