Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a large and intriguing cabochon of flame agate, from Mexico. This stone was cut from old stock material, none too easy to come by these days. It has a rather mossy display of plumes in very appropriate dark red and crimson hues, in a translucent agate base. Please be sure to view the backlit photo, which shows the stone's detail and gemmy nature. There are a couple tiny ghostly fortifications adding to the stone's character. Gorgeous! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully fluid designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
