Regency rose plume agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Regency Rose plume agate, from the famous digs in eastern Oregon. More of this outstanding old plume agate came my way from Tucson this year, so I've felt free to cut and offer some for you lately. This extra busy example has plenty of classic color; rosy red, pink, apricot, gold and cream, and it's jam-packed with small ornate plumes. The agate surrounding them shows some faint fortifications and is quite translucent, adding a dimension of depth that's most appealing. And there's a small drusy pocket too. The cab has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
