Imperial jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of imperial jasper, from Mexico. This classic old material is absolutely amazing stuff, a member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family I love so much. This example has a pattern of broad stripes in shades of avocado green, alternating with an even lighter pastel that's nearly white. Very appealing, to say the least. The stone has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a graceful designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
