Green picasso jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of green Picasso jasper. This material is quite different from, and a lot harder than, the more familiar type found in Utah, and I don't recall where it hails from. Instead of warmer oranges and golds, it has cool greens on a smoky gray-brown background, and some of it has patterns that resemble letters of the Asian alphabet. This example also has a shiny metallic band, though the camera captured only a hint of it reflecting. I thought perhaps someone might find it interesting, as do I. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a long bullet shape, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
