Brazilian agate ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of brazillian agate, cut from some grand old stock which was formerly in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound I know. This example has an amazing display of golden yellow plumes, something you don't find too often. The gorgeous plumage is edged with agate so dark it's almost black, so the flowers stands out in sharp contrast. That in turn is surrounded by deep orange, and with each subsequent band, the agate lightens to yellows. The cab has a low but nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
