Description
~ Graveyard dendritic agate cab ~

Offered here is a unusual cabochon of Graveyard Point dendritic agate, from eastern Oregon. It's unusual because instead of plumes, it has weird windblown tendrils of darkest purple, like dendrites, which contrast beautifully against a background of translucent bluish agate. Within them are glittery flecks of shiny metallic marcasite, as is sometimes found in this agate. Of course, they refuse to show themselves in the photos, but in hand, you'll see them. There's a tiny crystalline pocket, too. The cab has a well rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.

Size: 60x24mm
Weight: approximately 53 carats
