Mosquito jasper cab ~
Offered here is a fine cabochon of dendritic mosquito jasper, aka sagebrush jasper, from Wyoming. This example has a long plume of nice dendrites that resemble jet black trees, contrasting strongly against a rich earthy ochre yellow background. Just in case, I'd like to mention that there are no cracks or fractures present; the black line at the tip is just part of the pattern. The cab has a low rounded dome, a sleek designer 'spear' shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
