Agua Neuva agate cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of Agua Neuva agate, from Mexico. I often find that I favor this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate, found nearby. This example features a pair of prominent tubes, with ghostly fortifications, some of which are composed of rows of tiny dots. The color is a very light and delicate pastel pink shading to white, and the whole stone is beautifully translucent, illistrated by the backlite photo. The cab has a low rounded dome of 4.5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'flame' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
