Opal cab ~
Offered here is a sweet designer cabochon of fiery created opal. This opal is laboratory grown. The process is an expensive and time consuming one that can take up to two years to complete, and remains a closely guarded secret. The opal is actually grown from natural opal-bearing earths, or so I hear. Totally cool stuff, crack free and virtually 100% pure pleasure to work with, and affordable, unlike a lot of mined opal... Anyway, this cab features beautifully flashing green, blue and purple fire that's gorgeous. There are also hints of sky blue in the stone at certain angles, as well as a fascinating color shift that you'd expect to see in opal dug from the ground. The cab has a low rounded dome of 4mm, a crisp rectangular shape, and a glistening polish both front and back.
