Prudent man plume agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Prudent Man plume agate, from eastern Idaho. This new material certainly cuts appealing stones, and I've come to be quite fond of its colorfully varied plumage. This one is a splendid example, showing multiple layers of contrasting colors, including some fascinating plumes that start out green, then go to yellow, cream, brown and then to periwinkle blue, in a warmly translucent agate. I don't have a lot more of this lovely plume agate to work with, so if it strikes your fancy, grab it! The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, and it is beautifully polished both front and back.
