Chrysoprase cab ~
Offered here is a delightful cabochon of chrysoprase from a newly discovered find near Yerilla, Australia. It was cut from hand selected rough direct from the miner, at this year's Tucson gem show. Like the old Marlboro material, it's a gemmy chalcedony colored by the presence of nickel in beautifully bright minty greens that positively GLOW. This particular example has puffy clouds of lime green threaded with darker green translucent webs that add much to the visual interest and character. A few nice dendrites too. This vivid stone has a high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a graceful designer shape that's sure to help get your creative juices flowing, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
