Ochoco tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top quality Ochoco lace/tube agate. After rationing the last reserves of what little stash I had left, I was thrilled to come into a large parcel of this fine old collectible material. Very exciting stuff, I must say! This example has a display of well defined lacy tubes, and many others beneath the surface, but are still quite visible within the translucent agate gel. There are a couple healed hairlines present, which is typical of the material, and interstingly, a couple very tiny dendrites have formed in them. This cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, and a teardrop shape, with a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
