Marra mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a THRILLING cabochon of genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, a highly collectible rarity from Australia. This startlingly fiery material is, in my opinion, the most awesome tigereye in the world, and this gem's an example of the very highest calibre. It features dancing pearly chatoyance in a near rainbow of blended hues, including salmon orange, coppery red, dark red, bright gold, green, light blue and dark midnight blue that roll and flash throughout the stone. Even a hint of purple! There is very little jasper in this one, just a bit of golden yellow and reddish orange at either edge; it's nearly wall-to-wall tigereye, and the backside is every bit as nice as the front, so you should choose to show it off in an open-backed setting. It is bisected by ribbons and patches of shiny metallic hematite that gleam like polished silver. Buy it and I have no doubt you will be astonished, it's the VERY BEST of the very best! This substantial cab has a high rounded dome of nearly 6.5mm, a crisp designer 'leaf' shape, and a fabulously fine polish both front and back.
