Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is cabochon of ususual Madagascar ocean jasper. This cab is an excellent example of the agate variety, showing a lovely translucence, as illustrated by the backlit photo. Most of the bullseyes are multiply ringed, and have bright crimson or peach colored cores. Others have a ghostly look because you can see down into the agate, which is a very gemmy and gorgeous emerald green gel. I do need to mention the presence of a couple short, small and perfectly well-healed hairlines, though they're not overly distracting or detracting from the stone's beauty and value. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5+mm, a long and gracefully curved designer 'teardrop' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
