Burro Creek jasper ~
Offered here is a fine cabochon of Burro Creek jasper, from Arizona. This example is of better than average caliber, with a very attractive lavender coloration. There is a faint pattern of darker purple flecks that reminds me a lot of purple jade. I particularly like the misting of yellowish brown that surrounds the small white drusy pocket, adding much to the appeal. If you like purple stones for your creations, this one surely has your name on it. -grin- The cab has a well rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a designer 'chevron' shape, and it is nicely polished both front and back.
