Laguna agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Laguna agate, from Mexico. This lovely example some fancy scalloped banding in purplish gray with white, and a couple areas that show the characteristic pattern of tiny dots. Unfortunately, my limited photography skills really didn't do this one much justice, as the purplish color doesn't show up as well in the pics as it does in hand. I particularly like the white fortification area, as well as the row of orange and brown sagenite running down the inside curve. Makes it quite showy! This stone has a very high rounded dome of 8mm, a gracefully curvy shape, and a slick glassy poish both front and back.
