Mexican lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon cut from old stock Mexican crazy lace agate. This is one of those stones that gets fancier the closer you look. It features wonderfully busy scalloped banding in shades of gray and ivory white, plus a hint of peach, with several bullseyes and orbs. I particularly like the fortifications around the neat pair of open drusy pockets. The stone is cut with a high rounded dome of 5.5mm, a crisp shape that contains the patterning wonderfully, and a smooth gleaming polish both front and back.
