silver lace oynx cab ~
Offered here is a unique cab of top quality silver lace onyx. This long sought-after type of onyx actually has some silver content, and is found in the Calico Mountains of California. Or it was, anyway; I'm not sure if there's any left, or if the location is still open to collecting. This cab is an unusual example, with its remarkable, oddly scenic, pattern of dark dendrites that stand out in sharp contrast against a snowy white background. There's even a touch of color toward the bottom, for added appeal. The stone has a very high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and despite a couple tiny natural voids on the backside, the surface has a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
