Offered here is a big, bold cabochon of butterfly wing jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper is a much sought after classic, and mighty tough to come by these days, in any quality. For the record, it is NOT the same thing as the newer fantasy jasper found in the vicinity, though there are some similarities. Please visit my 'sold' gallery, where you'll easily discern the difference. This cab is an outstanding example of grand old material, chock full of colorfully varied figure. Any odd lines are either totally and naturally healed or simply part of the pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
