Carasite cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of premium carasite jasper, from Oregon. This wonderful old material is a member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family, closely related to its more famous cousin, morrisonite jasper, found nearby. Like morrisonite, it takes a dazzling shine. This stone is a outstanding example, featuring fabulous patterning in shades of avocado, crimson, cream, burnt orange and more, accented with a stroke or two of jet black. Collectibly gorgeous and unique! The cab has a beautifully rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully fluid designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
