Kabambi Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of Madagascar's kabambi ocean jasper, a pretty sister to the original ocean jasper source just up the beach. This lovely example is a sort of a rusty golden lime hue with several shades of rich advocado and forest greens, overlaid with pastel yellow bullseyes and bands. It's actually quite simple in pattern, yet still very striking and distinguished, with a rather exotic flavor. There is a small pocket at the side, shown in the second photo, that shouldn't interfere with setting. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a long designer 'teardrop' shape, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
