King cobra jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from king cobra jasper, from India. This recent material arrived with wonderfully bright new tropical hues, quite unlike the cobra jasper I've seen before, which is drab by comparison. The new stuff is a colorful blend of peachy coral, crimson, yellow and orange, and oddly enough, there's a few jet black dendrites too. The whitish areas, filled with a sparkly quartz blend, tended to undercut just a wee bit, but the effect is fascinating, adding character rather than detracting. It's a gorgeous cab, quite vivid and eye catching. Try some, I'm sure you'll be thrilled! The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a curved designer shape, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
