Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a slendid cabochon of ocean jasper, from Madagascar. Ocean jasper never fails to amaze me with its endless variations! This unique cab features a fascinating display of ornate bullseyes afloat in attractive pastels of aqua, contrasting beautifully against a background of green and yellow agate. The stone has a very gemmy translucent gel quality that adds a fascinating dimension of depth, unlike some of its 'jaspery' brethren. Please be sure to click to enlarge the photos to see the details. It has a rounded dome of 5mm, an elongated designer 'keystone' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back. On the backside are a pair of small divots where two of the orbs took a separate vacation, so to speak, and one odd ringlike depression. It's actually kind of neat, rather than detracting.
