Noreena cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of noreena jasper, a spectacular (relative) newcomer from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The color and figure reminds me of mungina stone, which is rather soft, but this well silicated noreena jasper is harder, with an even wilder pattern. The dark reddish background is highlighted with bold strokes and streamers of flaming yellow, contrasting wonderfully with areas of mauve. Very eye catching, to say the least, I think it'll be extremely attractive in even the plainest of settings. Grab it and give it a try! This cab has a nicely rounded dome of nearly 5.5mm, and a smoothly elegant designer shape, highly polished both front and back.
