Exotica jasper cab ~
Here is a cabochon cut from a recently found porcelain jasper from Mexico, called Exotica. This stone features a captivating pattern in deepest purple and pinkish-red tones against a creamy old ivory background. There are bold lightning strokes crossing every which way, as well as some streaky lines of a shiny dark metallic, and a few subtle bullseyes. This irresistibly artistic material has boatloads of designer potential, and folks just love the stuff, me included. -smile- I think you will too. The cab has a very high rounded dome, a strong and versatile shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
