Fossilized coral cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of colorful fossilized coral, from Indonesia. This fascinating material is something you don't see too often, and I must say I like it alot. Look closely at the enlarged pics and you'll see it is composed of the highly silicated fossil remains of colonial sea coral, many millions of years old! It has an unmistakeable one-of-a-kind pattern, with flower-like starbursts, and the colors are unusually vivid. This cab has a high rounded dome, a smoothly curved shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
