Tigereye cab ~
Offered here is an extraordinary cabochon of variegated tigereye, cut from premium old stock African material. This stone is a dark but brilliant electric teal blue, with patches and streaks of bright golden yellow. It has an excellent degree of chatoyant brilliance, with row upon row of strong shimmering flash. The silky bands run the length of the stone, and along one long edge are bands of translucent agate and metallic hematite. Sweet! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a long rectangular 'pillow' shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
