Mosquito jasper cab ~
Here is a fine cabochon of dendritic mosquito jasper, aka sagebrush jasper, from Wyoming. This fancy example has extra nice dendrites that resemble jet black trees and bushes, contrasting wonderfully against a rich earthy ochre yellow background. Just in case, I'd like to mention that there are no cracks or fractures present, the meandering lines running crosswise are are razor fine threads of agate, all part of the unique pattern. The cab has a well rounded dome of 4mm, a graceful sleek designer shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
