Plasma agate cab ~
Here is a cabochon of seldom seen plasma agate, from California. This material is an odd mixture of both agate and jasper swirled together, and this particular cab was cut to bring out and enhance the ocean vista Rain saw within. I didn't really see it until I got it sawed out, but the finished stone certainly does bear a likeness to a stormy sea, with lightning strokes coming right down to the breakers! Nice sunset and blue hues in the sky, too, but I'd have to say the bottom 'sea' area is a bit more green than the photos show, which only adds to the illusion. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
